Blueberries

As a kid I ate blueberries

Smudged them all over my face

A kid still I eat blueberries

Except nothing feels the same

I pay a lot for a tasteless box

Who packs love in plastic?

How much would I pay for blueberries

From careless childhood days?

Blueberries on my cheesecake

Sweet sweet sweet

I close my eyes now, goodnight

The little naive kid’s lullaby.
